090813 Shopping Trip to CVS and Rite Aid 9/8/13

I had $30 in +UPs at Rite Aid expiring today, so I definitely wanted to use those before they were gone!  There weren’t a lot of great deals at Rite Aid this week, but I got some more razors and some candy and decided to get the gift card deal going on this week.  I got more stuff at CVS to replace the ExtraBucks I had there (I didn’t need to use those us, but I wanted to roll them from last week).  Here’s my breakdown:

TOTAL SPENT TODAY = $99.73 (without gift cards $49.73)

This is realistic couponing in action.  I buy products that my family needs and that we use every day.  I bought some items without coupons because I was trying to roll rewards from the previous week and wanted to get the same or more back.  But I only choose products that we’re going to use any way.  I’ve started checking the deals on gift cards because if we’re going to shop at a certain store or go out to eat anyway, I might as well get something back for it.

How did your shopping go today?
