Shopping Trip 9/6/11

by SuzyQ on September 6, 2011

This is my continuation of my Rite Aid trip from Sunday.  I had to get milk, and I wanted to use the $24+UPs I received from my trip on Sunday (thanks to Rite Aid’s registers giving 2 rewards for the Garnier promotion).

Total Spent = $41.45 for $116.19 worth of products
Total savings = $74.74
Percentage = 64.33%

Transaction #1 (Sunday)
M&Ms     2/$5     Store Coupon $1/2    Manufacturer Coupons 2 $1/1     OOP $2.00 + $1+UP
Garnier Products      $30.65 (B1G1 50% deal – 10 items)     Manufacturer Coupons 10 $1/1     OOP = $20.65 + 2 $10+UP (supposed to be ONE!)
Scope     $3.99     Manufacturer Coupon $0.75/1     OOP = $3.74 +$3+UP
TOTAL OOP = $28.65 + $24+UP

Transaction #2 (Tuesday)
Sinus Rinse Packets     $25.98     +$10+UP     Used $24+UP from transaction #1
TOTAL OOP = $4.05

Transaction #3 (Tuesday)
Colgate Wisp     $5.18     +$5+UP for $25 oral care products promo
Pringles x4     $6.00     Manufacturer Coupon $1/4     OOP = $5.00
Used $10+UP from transaction #2
TOTAL OOP = $0.59 +$5+UP

Transaction #4 (Tuesday)
Ice Cream     $3.49     +$1+UP
Fruit Bars     $3.49
Milk     $6.18
Used $5+UP from transaction #3
TOTAL OOP = $8.16 +$1+UP

Lesson learned today while shopping: +UP rewards CANNOT be used on milk.  Apparently, the State of California puts milk in the same categories as alcohol and tobacco, so it is not eligible to be purchased with rewards.  I was so looking forward to getting out of the store for about $6 today.
